What is microneedling?

Microneedling creates thousands of tiny micro-channels in the skin, triggering your body's natural repair response and a surge of fresh collagen. The result is smoother texture, refined pores and a healthy glow.

It's a favorite for acne scars, fine lines and dull skin — and pairs beautifully with serums or PRP for an amplified effect.

Pairs well with

Microneedling with your own PRP roughly doubles the healing response versus needling alone.

Benefits

  • Smooths texture and softens fine lines
  • Refines pores and improves acne scarring
  • Boosts your own collagen naturally
  • Brightens and evens skin tone

What to expect

Start to finish, so there are no surprises on the day.

  1. 1
    Prep

Skin is cleansed and fully numbed for 20–30 minutes. If we're adding PRP, blood is drawn and spun while you numb.

  2. 2
    Treatment · 45 min

Controlled micro-channels at a depth chosen for your concern — shallower for pores, deeper for scarring.

  3. 3
    Days 1–3

Looks like a moderate sunburn on day one, flakes lightly by day three. Makeup from day two if you need it.

  4. 4
    Weeks 4–6

Collagen remodelling shows. A course of three sessions spaced a month apart is where the dramatic change happens.

Before you book

What would change this plan

Standard contraindications and precautions for this treatment — the questions you should expect from anyone offering it.

  • Are you pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding? Not while you're pregnant or nursing.
  • Have you ever had a severe allergic reaction — to a medication, an anaesthetic, or a previous injectable? Alla needs the details before anything is planned.
  • Do you take blood thinners, or daily aspirin? Not a barrier — a planning point.
  • Right now, do you have a cold sore, a skin infection, or an active breakout where you'd want treatment? Wait until the skin is clear.
  • Do you have an autoimmune condition, or take medication that suppresses your immune system? Usually workable, always discussed.
  • Do you scar badly — raised, thickened or keloid scars? Changes which resurfacing is sensible.
  • Have you taken isotretinoin (Accutane, Roaccutane) in the last six months? Wait it out.

04

Aftercare

The short list that protects your result. You'll get this in writing too.

  • No makeup and nothing active for 24 hours
  • Gentle cleanser and a bland moisturiser only, for five days
  • SPF 30+ daily — new skin burns fast
  • No gym or sweating for 48 hours
05

Myths, straightened out

What clients arrive believing — and what's actually true.

A home derma-roller does the same thing.
Home rollers tear skin at a random depth and carry a real infection risk. Medical devices stamp at a controlled depth in a sterile field.
One session fixes acne scars.
Texture responds to repetition. Three sessions minimum for scarring; one session is a glow, not a correction.
It's too harsh for sensitive skin.
Depth is adjustable. Sensitive and rosacea-prone skin is treated shallower and often tolerates it better than acids.
06

How this is handled here

What people actually arrive saying, and the approach taken — not individual patient histories.

Microneedling$600 per session

“I tried microneedling and it did nothing”

The concern

Almost always a protocol problem rather than a treatment problem. Scarring needs depth and repetition; a single shallow pass is a glow, not a correction.

The approach
  • Depth set for the concern — deeper for scarring than for texture or dullness
  • A course of three, spaced a month apart, agreed before starting
  • Photographed at baseline and after each session in the same light
  • PDGF added where downtime is the barrier to completing the course
Why

Texture changes across a course, not a session. Anyone sold one session for scarring was sold the wrong thing.

General approach only. Individual results vary and every plan is decided at consultation.

07

Frequently asked

Does it hurt?

We numb beforehand, so most clients are very comfortable.

How many sessions?

A short series (often 3) gives the best results — we'll tailor it.

Can it be combined with PRP?

Yes — PRP microneedling amplifies rejuvenation using your own growth factors.

Per-session and package pricing shared at your consultation.
