What is PRP?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) concentrates the growth factors from a small sample of your own blood, then delivers them back into the skin or scalp to stimulate renewal.

Because it uses your own biology, it's a beautifully natural way to improve skin quality, under-eye area, and thinning hair.

Pairs well with

PRP under the eyes plus a conservative tear-trough plan handles hollowing and dark tone together.

Benefits

  • Improves skin quality and radiance
  • Softens under-eye hollows and texture
  • Supports thicker, healthier hair
  • 100% natural — from your own body

What to expect

Start to finish, so there are no surprises on the day.

  1. 1
    Draw · 10 min

A standard blood draw, exactly like routine labs. Nothing exotic.

  2. 2
    Spin · 15 min

The sample is centrifuged to separate platelet-rich plasma — the fraction packed with growth factors.

  3. 3
    Application · 30 min

Micro-injected or driven in through microneedling channels, depending on whether we're treating skin, under-eyes or scalp.

  4. 4
    Weeks 3–12

Growth factors recruit collagen and improve circulation. Results build quietly; photos at week 12 tell the story.

Before you book

What would change this plan

Standard contraindications and precautions for this treatment — the questions you should expect from anyone offering it.

  • Are you pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding? Not while you're pregnant or nursing.
  • Have you ever had a severe allergic reaction — to a medication, an anaesthetic, or a previous injectable? Alla needs the details before anything is planned.
  • Do you take blood thinners, or daily aspirin? Not a barrier — a planning point.
  • Right now, do you have a cold sore, a skin infection, or an active breakout where you'd want treatment? Wait until the skin is clear.
  • Do you have an autoimmune condition, or take medication that suppresses your immune system? Usually workable, always discussed.
  • Do you scar badly — raised, thickened or keloid scars? Changes which resurfacing is sensible.
  • Have you taken isotretinoin (Accutane, Roaccutane) in the last six months? Wait it out.

04

Aftercare

The short list that protects your result. You'll get this in writing too.

  • No anti-inflammatories for 48 hours — they blunt the effect
  • Keep the area clean and untouched for 24 hours
  • SPF daily
  • Expect mild puffiness under the eyes for a day or two
05

Myths, straightened out

What clients arrive believing — and what's actually true.

It's a vampire gimmick.
PRP has been used in orthopaedics and wound care for decades. Aesthetics borrowed a well-established tool.
Results are instant.
They aren't, and anyone promising that is selling something else. PRP is a twelve-week play.
Anyone can do it.
Concentration, spin protocol and injection depth all change the outcome. It's a medical procedure, not an add-on.

How this is handled here

What people actually arrive saying, and the approach taken — not individual patient histories.

Under-eyes where filler is the wrong answer

The concern

Dark under-eyes get treated as hollows by default. Where the darkness is pigment or thin skin rather than lost volume, filler adds a bluish cast and puffiness instead of fixing anything.

The approach
  • The distinction made in front of you: overhead light versus flat light
  • Filler declined where the shadow does not change with the light
  • PRP instead, as a course, for skin thickness and circulation
  • Assessment at twelve weeks — there is deliberately nothing to see at two
Why

Where the cause is colour rather than volume, this is slower and less immediately satisfying than filler. It is also the treatment that works.

General approach only. Individual results vary and every plan is decided at consultation.

07
